Aim for Big Targets – They’re Easier to Hit

Create new markets where giants can’t

Tywin Lannister said in Game of Thrones: “The enemy who has nothing to lose is the most terrifying.”

Small startups often disrupt large businesses because they have nothing to lose.

For big companies, creating new markets means undermining their current ones.

Executives in these companies care about their bonuses, budgets, and positions.

It means they don’t like changes and aren’t interested in what doesn’t promise immediate rewards for them.

Look for blind spots in their product lineups.

What customer needs do they fail to meet?

What customer segments do they ignore?

It can be food for thought for you.

What do you think? What needs of yours do big companies ignore?
