Is the world a safer place than it was in your childhood?
When I ask people this question, they usually say no. To them, the world is a bomb loaded with dynamite—trembling and ready to blow.
And they are wrong.
Research shows that the global toll of injuries has dropped by 31% in the last quarter century.
It’s not that the world has become a nicer place, but it’s less dangerous.
So, where does this sense of danger come from? Thank the media and social platforms. 100 years ago, people weren’t bombarded by negative news from every corner of the globe.
Today, the media never tire of reminding us that the world is complex and changing constantly.
It increases the feeling that you’re expected to constantly change and adapt.
Nothing can be further from the truth.
You need to find your only purpose, your calling, the only thing you feel meant to do for the rest of your life.
And you should be learning.
In a world where everyone’s obsessed with productivity and busy playing with AI tools, deep thinking will become a rare skill.

You can start reading it at any point and in any order. One minute per day is more than enough. I hope this booklet brings you joy and makes you smile. Dowload the booklet for free here: https://sbiryulin.com/free-stuff, no sign-up required.
Wishing you an entertaining read!
